Welcome All

 My name is Matt and I live in the mountains. I love roaming the woods near my home and other trails to help me clear my head after long days. I love taking picture of flowers and writing poetry to help unleash my creativity. As I'm often alone and on the spectrum, meeting people can be difficult

Most of what I like to write about are commentaries about life using the song and album titles of various artists. The longer the discography, the more I can write, but I like to avoid commonly known titles in a row to make people guess the source material when surrounded by generic and/or titles everyone uses at some point.

Another type of writing I do are hokkus which are ten haikus in a row. The limited structure allows me to make a point with each haiku that flows into the next. Sometimes, I'll go beyond ten haikus until I can feel better about what I started and see how far I can go with a single topic. 

I'm open to requests and hope everyone enjoys my content. I have a YouTube channel called Radish Poet Showings where I put content from an older blog.

A Song Title Poem

  A MAN WITH A BAND AND OTHER HITS     I don’t know where to begin other than in these gloomy times I feel lost, but it could be far worse As I know where to find people for relief and can write as part of the midnight special before the Pull of sleep greets me, but sometimes the bad moon rising over the mountain with brilliant lights Creeping from behind the curtains and this cues the commotion of the mind to take some shape.   At least I can sleep in peace as no one has to bother me for anything and while the working man Title belongs to me some days, I’m glad I can sleep because the night time is the right time for a Mental shut down because as long as I can see the light of day there is time for trouble to occur.   I wonder about the fortunate sons and daughters who have to get by with little sleep so close to Battlefields that a few winks are considered a luxury, while the tired souls feeling blue as various ...
